What is Brock Deck?
Brock Deck is a Hi-Polymer material manufactured from a
special high-impact, weather-resistant polyvinyl chloride compound. It is
specially formulated for outdoor exposure where color and physical property
retention are important.
Is Brock Deck made of recycled
materials?
No. Brock Deck is an engineered vinyl formulation that includes
ultraviolet inhibitors to shield it from the sun's harmful rays. Impact
modifiers give added strength and impact resistance in all weather conditions,
while preventing denting or splitting.
What are the main
features/benefits of Brock Deck?
Brock Deck is a maintenance-free material that is durable, defies weathering and
never needs sealing or painting. The nonporous surface cleans easily and
resists stains. It stays cool to the touch in the summer sun and is
weather-resistant all year long. Brock Deck is an ideal solution for the
enhancement of both residential and commercial properties.
Will the color of Brock Deck
change?
No. Brock Deck has a higher concentration of UV inhibitors than premium
vinyl siding. The white, tan, or gray colors are consistent throughout the
product profile. Brock Deck is nonporous and will not absorb moisture.
Does Brock Deck have a warranty?
Warranty issues are always on a consumer’s mind when purchasing fencing
products. There are many flashy, highly promotionalized warranties on the
market, but more importantly the consumer should look at the company behind
the products. How long has the company been making vinyl fencing? How long has
the company been in business? What is their track record with those products?
We have
a company behind us that has been in business since 1970, and have been
manufacturing vinyl fencing since 1982 and decking since 1987. We are North
America's largest extruder of PVC building products. We have 108 wholly owned
or joint venture businesses in Canada, US, Mexico, Europe, South American
& Asia. Our Lifetime Warranty is backed by one of the largest vinyl
manufactures in the entire world. Brock Deck has a non-prorated twenty(20) year warranty
and Triple Crownä Fence has a
lifetime warranty against warping, rotting,
corroding, flaking, peeling, blistering, or discoloration. Click

Is Brock Deck slippery when wet?
No. Brock Deck provides an excellent walking surface for shoes or bare
feet. The grooved design pattern provides quick water drainage and
excellent traction.
What happens to Brock Deck in cold
weather?
Brock Deck performs well in all weather conditions, hot or cold.
How do I keep Brock Deck clean?
To keep Brock Deck looking like new, wash with a garden hose. If certain
spills are allowed to dry (coffee, fruit juice, kerosene), it may be necessary
to use a non-abrasive household cleaner to remove residue, then rinse with a
hose. Click

Is Brock Deck environmentally
safe?
Yes. There are no toxic chemicals in Brock Deck.
What dimensions does Brock Deck come
in?
Brock Deck planks are 1 1/2" x 5 7/8" and are available in lengths up
to 24'. Brock Deck planks weigh approximately 1.1 lb per lineal
foot. This may be similar to a softwood such as cedar or redwood.
How is Brock Deck Fastened to the
joists?
Planks are held securely to the deck's understructure in a patented process
using Brock's aluminum Clip-Strip attachment. Stainless steel screws are
used to secure the attachments to wood, steel, or aluminum stringers.
Brock Deck planks snap into the attachments leaving no exposed fasteners.
What
tools do I need to work with Brock Deck?
A dead blow hammer should be used to set Brock Deck planks into the Clip-Strip
attachments. Brock Deck can be straight or angle cut and routed just like
wood. Carbide blades are recommended.
What
joists spans should I plan for when using Brock Deck?
Brock Deck's maximum span is 24" although I do not recommend any span over
18".
Does
Brock Deck require spacing between planks?
No. Use of the Clip-Strip attachment results in a 1/8" gap
between planks.
